The mission of Next Interior is to build and support a constituency that is empowered to advocate for the U.S. Department of the Interior to fully protect and manage the Nation's natural and cultural resources, provide science and other knowledge about those resources, and fulfill Trust obligations to Tribes and other Native Peoples.
A strong and supported U.S. Department of the Interior that is able to realize its full potential in serving the Nation.
April 2025: Launch Next Interior via social media and other outlets.
April - May 2025: Develop additional resources to help people take action to support Interior. Establish a tempo for engagement. Articulate specific goals and objectives.
June 2025: Evaluate the status of Next Interior and take next steps as advised by the Exploratory Committee.
Next Interior is not a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization...yet: Establishing a non-profit organization takes time, and we haven't had that time yet. If there is an appetite for Next Interior to be sustained, then we will pursue that recognition. Until then, if you want to make tax-deductable donations, consider options for how to Take Action with other organizations!
